What is Serum ?

Serum is especially suited to this assignment since it is comprised of littler atoms that can infiltrate profoundly into the skin and convey a high convergence of dynamic fixings. This makes them an extraordinary instrument for focusing on particular skincare concerns, similar to wrinkles and acne. Serum is not popularly known in the western countries but it is used more in the East Asian countries like Korea, Japan, Thailand and China.
The active ingredients of serum acts in one of the following way:
- Encouraging skin cell turnover.
- Delivering nutrients in concentrated form.
By the studies and research it is clear that the acceleration of collagen production can happen by dead cells and renewal of cells. During cell death, new cell will be replaced and behave more elastic, moisture and vibrant.
Most popular serums are Vitamin E and Vitamin C serums. Vitamin C is an exfoliate and since it’s absorbance into the dermis, it creates new skin cell growth at deeper layers of the skin than other molecules. It is recommended to use these Vitamin C serums in the morning and serum with retinol or other Vitamin A derivatives can be used in the night. There are some serum meant for oily or acne-prone skin and some serum that are for age-defying/skin tightening. Serum pack come with a dispenser, so you just need to take few drops and spread it evenly across your face and neck. You need to use these serums at least once a day or more depending on your skin type. Natural serums are always recommended as they don’t have any harmful side effects on the skin and health.
How serum is different from face oil, face cream and moisturizer?
As serum is a liquid watery essence which infuses required ingredients deep into your skin. You need to apply this after cleansing and before using a moisturizer or any other makeup bases. Serum is absorbed rapidly into the skin and leaves no marks on the face.
